A Conversation With
Buffalo Mayoral Candidate Ron Moss |
| The fundamental principle of "Marginalism" is to maintain
the status quo for Buffalo, New York. It is imperative that we preserve
our past, because Buffalo's best days are behind us. There are some among
us who are whispering about combining our city with the county. I say
that this would only create a new status quo. We might as well keep our
current status quo. There is nothing wrong with having a control board.
All we have to do is unionize it. I have a plan to solve all of
our problems associated with UB. I will switch the two UB campuses,
north with south. I also have a plan to extend the mass transit system
to the First Ward. I will turn the old Aud into a giant coin bank. We
can put a slot in the top and deposit coins from Skyway tolls. Then when
it is full we can open it.
I say, "Don't bite the hand that feeds you." We must nurture our relationship with Albany. There are some out there who want to destroy this relationship that we have been cultivating all of these years. We must continue to suck at the breast of our state capital. Not only do I support the teachers' union, but I believe that we should use it as a model of perfection. I will also arrange to collect and redistribute all of our old broken cell phones and recycle them to guys on the streets so that they don't look as if they are walking around talking to themselves. I also have a simple fix for our dead Main Street. I will simply switch the names of Main Street and the Scajaquada Expressway. Main Street will once again be the busy street we were once proud of. With the city under a control board, I believe we should not discount the important role of an effective, largely ceremonial mayor. |

| 6 | Every resident of Buffalo will be made a patronage employee. Buffalo will be the first city to boast full employment. |
| 7 | I will reach out to the control board and the labor unions. The result will be a unionized control board. |

To all of my followers: Ron Moss - {Part 1, as dictated to your webmaster} When I'm elected mayor I would like to see Joe Grammaglia, Ralph Smario, and William Gartz take an early retirement from the downtown B district for the fine and excellent work that they've done for me. I'd like to see Mrs. K. Watts from the NFTA take an early retirement read more » 1 message - 1 author |
